Christmas came early for Fantasy Premier League managers as we were all topped up to five free transfers due to Premier League players heading to AFCON after Gameweek 16.

Mohamed Salah (if you still had him...) and Bryan Mbuemo are among those ruled out of bounds until 2026, creating opportunities for others to push for a place in your team.

RadioTimes.com brings you our top FPL tips for GW16 in 2025/26.

Fantasy Premier League tips GW16

DEF: Joachim Andersen (FUL, £4.6m, 5.2 per cent)

Fulham's defence isn't much to shout about, but their upcoming fixtures are. Burnley, Nottingham Forest and West Ham represent three teams who follow the 'safety first' mantra and the west London team should pick up some defensive points.

Andersen is a DEFCON-printing machine having scooped the bonus on nine occasions this term. A fine option for the busy Christmas period.

MID: Bruno Fernandes (MUN, £9.1m, 23.7 per cent)

The march of the premium options continues. First, Phil Foden played his way back into our teams, now Bruno Fernandes has followed suit.

He scooped two goals and an assist against Wolves last time out with 0.69 xGI (expected goal involvements) per 90 minutes across the season. Bruno is essentially a set and forget player who will provide a stream of points for weeks to come.

FOR: Dominic Calvert-Lewin (LEE, £5.6m, 2.2 per cent)

It's fair to say nobody would have suspected DCL would still be making FPL teams in December 2025, but here we are.

The Leeds man is enjoying a rich vein of form with three strikes in consecutive matches against Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool. He's tracking with an xG (expected goals) per 90 minutes of 0.48 and has favourable fixtures coming up. A superb differential option for your third striker role.
