There's a surprise update for a fan-favourite former couple in the latest edition of Emmerdale.
Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) faces fresh tension with husband Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) in the wake of her fall in the woods, which led her to suffer with bleeding.
She believed it was unlikely that the embryo transfer to carry a baby for her granddaughter Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill) and Sarah's new fiancé Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant) had worked.
After telling Sarah the news, Charity is blindsided when she's handed a pregnancy test to check.

This appears to confirm that Charity is not expecting, and official spoilers have already shared that the family will make plans to pay for another transfer.
Charity will later be revealed as pregnant after all, but before this twist, there's a lot of drama to come in Thursday's (7th August 2025) episode.
When Sarah learns that Charity tripped earlier in the week, she unleashes a furious rant at her gran.
Initially feeling weighed down by her own guilt, Charity soon places the blame on Mack for everything when his true feelings about the surrogacy come to light.
In the Woolpack, Charity turns to alcohol to numb her stress, and it's her ex-fiancée Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) who finds her in a fragile and angry state.
Vanessa coaxes Charity back to her place to try and sober up, but it's not long before their old chemistry is revisited.
What happens next?
Although Charity and Mack are seen somewhat united in pictures next week, is their marriage doomed to fail?
