EastEnders' Michelle Ryan and Jessie Wallace, and VJ Day at 80 feature across this week's Radio Times covers
Michelle Ryan on her dramatic return to Albert Square and her emotional reunion with Jessie Wallace, plus your complete guide to the anniversary of VJ Day.

This week we commemorate the 80th anniversary of VJ Day. For a long time, 15 August 1945 was overlooked - the almost forgotten victory of a forgotten army in a forgotten war.
In this week's Radio Times magazine, you can read the first-hand memories of the cruelty and deprivation suffered by those who were captured by the Japanese and those who fought against them.
As I wrote when we marked the 80th anniversary of VE Day, these personal accounts are so important and, sadly, we are losing the people who can recall those dark times. Their stories are in the new issue.
Whether you're a regular viewer of EastEnders or not, it has thrown up some of the most memorable lines in popular TV history. Do you remember Zoe Slater yelling "You ain't my mother!" to Kat Slater?
We catch up with the actors who played out that scene - Jessie Wallace and Michelle Ryan - as they look forward to Ryan's return to the soap and reminisce about that infamous exchange.
Finally, I'd like to draw your attention to two RT events.
First, on 21 August, there's a chance to ask Succession star Brian Cox a few questions at a special RT preview and Q&A for the second series of Prime Video's 007: Road to a Million. Details inside this week's issue.
Then on 4 September we host The Best Quiz Ever at Kew Gardens in London with Pointless presenter Alexander Armstrong and walking TV encyclopaedia, Richard Osman.
