Coronation Street airs exit for troublesome character in ITVX release
It's all over.

*Warning: Major spoilers for Wednesday 23rd July's episode of Coronation Street, available now on ITVX.*
It's the end of the road for one Coronation Street character, as their exit scenes aired on Wednesday (23rd July 2025).
Lou Michaelis (Farrel Hegarty) was captured by police after Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) rumbled her for attacking Gary Windass (Mikey North).
The drama unfolded when Gary rejected a kiss from Lou, whose husband Mick (Joe Layton) was already behind bars for the murder of Craig Tinker (Colson Smith).
When Lou tried to blackmail Gary and he refused to comply, she struck him over the head, putting him in a coma.

Locked up for the crime after weeks of deceit, Lou had to leave her children Joanie (Savanna Pennington), Shanice (Molly Kilduff) and Brody (Ryan Mulvey) in the care of Sally (Sally Dynevor) and Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine).
During a visit on Monday (21st July), Lou begged Sally to lend her the money for her case, as she planned to fight for her freedom on the basis that Mick's abuse had led her down this dark path.
But in the latest episode, Sally and Tim got a phone call from Lou's social worker, informing them that Lou has pleaded guilty, having a total change of heart.
Tim and Sal relayed the news to Brody, asking if he would visit his mum.
Brody wasn't keen, but ultimately joined Sally and the girls to go and see Lou.
Lou was finally ready to face up to her actions with a lengthy sentence, and she thanked Sally from the bottom of her heart for everything she had done for her family.
Telling Sal that she didn't want her kids to have regular visits with her for their own sake, Lou then shared an emotional moment with Brody, Joanie and Shanice.
It was a moving last performance from Hegarty, and RadioTimes.com understands that this marks the actor's final episode, with Lou's story previously confirmed to end in the summer.
Can Brody and his sisters come to terms with their new reality?
