Stranger Things Easter eggs confirmed for Duffer Brothers' new Netflix horror
You'll want to watch closely!

The Duffer Brothers are moving on from Stranger Things with their roles as executive producers on Netflix's new horror Something Very Bad is Going to Happen - but fans will want to look out for some Easter eggs!
The upcoming series, which will explore what it means for a couple to be soulmates and all the complications that come with that, is set to follow Camila Morrone's Rachel and Adam DiMarco's Nicky as they face strange happenings in the week leading up to their wedding.
The pair head to Summer House, Nicky's ancestral home, where they meet his larger-than-life family — including his sister Portia (Gus Birney), brother Jules (Jeff Wilbusch) and Jules's wife Nell (Karla Crome).
Plus, we meet Jules's son Jude (Sawyer Fraser), a watchful youngster who picks up on things that others might not - and if he sounds a little bit like Noah Schnapp's Will Byers, you're not wrong!
Showrunner Haley Z Boston, who worked closely with the Duffer Brothers, revealed what fans should look out for after the end of Stranger Things season 5, explaining: "We have a few Stranger Things toys in Jude’s room. Jude probably wants to be like Mike but really identifies with Will."

In terms of other horror homages, Boston added: "I hope that people pick up on The Evil Dead shot with the 'very bad POV'.
"I used a different horror movie comp for each episode, so we have a bit of the Rosemary's Baby in Episode 2. Uncut Gems is not a horror movie but it is energetically similar to episode 7, which is a frantic real time episode."

After the end of Stranger Things, the Duffer Brothers certainly aren't slowing down any time soon. Next up, Stranger Things: Tales From '85 is set for release in April, and they're also working on upcoming Netflix series The Boroughs.
Something Very Bad is Going to Happen will be released on Netflix on Thursday 26 March.
