Adapting a web manga series by Taizan 5, this sci-fi anime drama involves a cheerful alien and a depressed nine-year-old girl, whose personal struggles inspire the alien to travel back in time to improve the girl's life.
Takopi is the nickname for the show's alien co-protagonist, an octopus-looking character from a culture where everyone is happy.
When he arrives on Earth and encounters a little girl named Shizuka, her difficult life upends his worldview, and he becomes determined to make her happy - with chaotic consequences.
