The Traitors season 4 has been nothing short of chaotic, with a secret Traitor, Fiona v Rachel and now, a new twist that could help the Faithful uncover the truth about those working against them.

In tonight's episode (9th January), the players gathered for their next mission, and there was a slight spanner thrown into the works.

Claudia Winkleman addressed the players, telling them that the mission would challenge them to take "a good, hard look at [themselves] and each other".

She continued: "Each group will now take a separate path through the castle woods, and on each route you will encounter mirrors. The mirrors are going to ask you questions about your fellow players currently left in the game, and the answers are based on the questionnaires you filled out last night."

Winkleman noted that for each correct answer, £500 would be added to the prize fund, but there was a bit more added. The team that answers the most correct answers would be granted access to the castle's Walled Garden and would gain the power to talk to the Traitors.

After an intense mission, Rachel, Roxy, Matthew, Faraaz and Harriet were granted access to the garden, before Claudia explained what was to come.

For each player there was a mirror they could choose from to smash. If smoke came out, they could the power to speak to the Traitors but if no smoke comes out, they would not be able to speak to a Traitor.

Rachel, Harriet and Matthew all smashed smoking mirrors and were told that after the roundtable, they would be able to go to the castle confessional and ask the Traitors two questions.

But whether the Traitors will tell the truth, that is something else...
