In the opening episode, it was revealed that Roxy and Judy were mother and daughter, something they chosen to hide from their fellow cast members. And for contestants Ellie and Ross, it appears a similar ruse may be taking place.

From mentions of secrecy to what now looks to be an awkward first encounter, a question on many viewers' minds has been: Do Ellie and Ross know each other?

While the pair haven't acknowledged one another in a familiar manner while on the show, fans have been digging through the pair's social media and it appears Ross and Ellie potentially have history.

The theories first came around when fans spotted that the pair both stayed at the same hotel in Tenerife, according to Instagram posts.

Ross shared a series of images of him staying at the Tivoli La Caleta Tenerife Resort, and while Ellie posted a series of images later, fans have matched up the background in her images to that of where Ross stayed.

While the above could suggest the pair connected after the show finished filming, a now deleted image of Ross and Ellie from 2024 suggest otherwise.

On Instagram, Ross's personal training account shared an image of a group of people, including him and Ellie with the caption" team outing.

In the image, Ross can be seen with his arm around Ellie's back, hinting they very well could have been friends before the show.

Speculation has been rife as to how the pair know each other ever since Ross admitted he had "a secret".

At the time of reporting, the pair haven't acknowledged they know each other on the show, and it may only be a matter of time if they do...
