The new series, which will see Cole Hauser and Kelly Reilly reprise their roles as Rip Wheeler and Beth Dutton, will premiere globally on Paramount+ on Friday 15 May, with the first two episodes being released at once. The remaining seven episodes will then air weekly on Fridays.

The synopsis for the new series says: "As Beth and Rip fight to build a future together - far from the ghosts of Yellowstone - they collide with brutal new realities and a ruthless rival ranch that will stop at nothing to protect its empire. In South Texas, blood runs deeper, forgiveness is fleeting, and the cost of survival might just be your soul."

Alongside news of the show's release date, a dramatic first-look trailer has also been released, which you can watch here now.

As well as Reilly and Hauser, Dutton Ranch will also star Ed Harris and Annette Bening, along with Finn Little, Juan Pablo Raba, Jai Courtney, JR Villarreal, Marc Menchaca and Natalie Alyn Lind.

Dutton Ranch, like Marshals before it, will be set after the fifth and final season of Yellowstone, picking up with the characters in their new lives.

Marshals has been following Kayce Dutton, with the first episode having revealed that his wife Monica, a long-running major Yellowstone character played by Kelsey Asbille, had died.

Like all other Yellowstone series, Dutton Ranch has been created by Taylor Sheridan. The prolific writer has also been behind another recent Paramount+ show The Madison, which at one time was believed to be a Yellowstone spin-off, before being revealed as its own, contained story.

Dutton Ranch will air from Friday 15 May on Paramount+.
