Untamed cast: Who stars in the Netflix drama?
And who do they play?
New Netflix thriller Untamed has just dropped on the platform, starring the likes of Eric Bana as Kyle Turner, a seasoned special agent working in Yosemite National Park. When a woman is found dead, Turner suspects it wasn't an accident and begins investigating her death.
"It’s not often that your lead character is allowed to get away with being so uncharming,” Bana said in an interview with The Independent. "And we got to lean into the gruffness, the darkness and the uncomfortable [areas]."
In an interview with Variety, Bana said that he was sent the script back in 2019 and "loved it".
"I just thought it was such a fantastic combination of the thriller genre, the suspense, the murder mystery, but most importantly in the most incredible setting," he said.
"I think the idea of following someone who’s trying to solve a crime, knocking on doors and driving a car, I’ve seen that so many times. To see someone in a national park do it on a horse just seems so much more interesting and much more fun to do."
Bana told The LA Times that he "felt a kinship for Kyle immediately".
"I don’t know if it was just like the shared love for the outdoors and how that affects our psyche and our well-being, our sense of self, our emotional journey in life – I just immediately felt very strongly for Kyle," he added.
A whole roster of famous faces appear in the thriller, some of whom you might recognise, such as Smile 2 star Rosemarie DeWitt and Jurassic Park actor Sam Neill.

Eric Bana plays Kyle Turner
Who is Kyle Turner? A special agent for the National Park Service Investigative Services Branch (ISB). Kyle's son died a few years ago and, in the aftermath, his marriage fell apart and he turned to drinking to cope.
What else has Eric Bana been in? His extensive CV includes Hulk, Troy, Black Hawk Down, The Time Traveler's Wife, Star Trek, The Other Boleyn Girl, Munich, Hanna, Something in the Air, Full Frontal and Dirty John.
Lily Santiago plays Naya Vasquez
Who is Naya Vasquez? She used to be a cop in Los Angeles but recently became a Yosemite ranger. Naya is described as "ambitious" with a "strong will" and "astute investigative skills", but she can be naive, which makes her vulnerable in her new role. Naya is also a single mother to a young son.
What else has Lily Santiago been in? She's best known for La Brea.
Rosemarie DeWitt plays Jill Bodwin
Who is Jill Turner? She used to be a teacher and a park counsellor but is now working in real estate. Jill was married to Kyle and they do still speak, but there is a lot of pain there after losing their son.
What else has Rosemarie DeWitt been in? You probably know her from United States of Tara, And Just Like That, Smile 2 and The Staircase.
Sam Neill plays Paul Souter
Who is Paul Souter? He's been Yosemite's chief park ranger for decades and is also friends with Turner, at times taking on a fatherly role when he senses him drifting. "He’s comfortable in all facets of his job, whether dealing with crime inside the park or the bureaucracy around it," reads the official description.
What else has Sam Neill been in? Some of his many, many roles include Jurassic Park, Peaky Blinders, Hunt for the Wilderpeople, Dead Calm, Doctor Zhivago, The Piano and The Hunt for Red October, among many, many others.
Wilson Bethel plays Shane Maguire
Who is Shane Maguire? He used to be an army ranger and is now a wildlife management officer in the park. Shane cuts a solitary figure – and that's exactly how he likes it.
What else has Wilson Bethel been in? You might know him from All Rise, The Young and the Restless, Hart of Dixie and Daredevil.
William Smillie as Milch
Who is Milch? Another Yosemite ranger. Milch often clashes with Turner.
What else has William Smillie been in? He has appeared in Chicago Fire and APB.
Raoul Trujillo plays Jay Stewart
Who is Jay Stewart? He works in land maintenance at the park and can be a helpful source of information for Turner.
What else has Raoul Trujillo been in? You might have watched him in Mayans MC.
Taylor Hickson as Summer
Who is Summer? A young woman living in Yosemite.
What else has Taylor Hickson been in? She's starred in films such as Deadpool, Bad Genius and Ghostland, as well as TV shows Aftermath and Motherland: Fort Salem.
