The Hardacres season 2 finally confirmed by Channel 5 – and episode count revealed
We'll be heading back to Hardacre Hall.

Period drama The Hardacres first debuted in October and became a huge hit with viewers on 5. Now, finally, fans have got word on the show's future.
The series, which comes from Playground, the company behind All Creatures Great and Small, will officially return for a second season. The run will, like the first, be made up of six episodes.
The synopsis for season 2 says: "Following the smash-hit first series, which followed the Hardacre family as they navigated their rise from poverty to staggering wealth and the unexpected twists and turns that money brought, the new season charts the Hardacres as they settle into Hardacre Hall and turn their attention to reshaping the world around them… with all the ambition, friction, and fallout that entails."
While a cast list for season 2 has not yet been confirmed, we'd imagine all the central stars from season 1, including Claire Cooper, Liam McMahon and Julie Graham, will return.

The drama's renewal was announced alongside a host of others for 5, with The Teacher and The Madame Blanc Mysteries also set to return.
Meanwhile, the channel also announced some new shows, including Imposter, a four-part series set in Australia starring Kym Marsh and Jackie Woodburne, and Cooper and Fry, a detective drama starring Robert James-Collier and Mandip Gill.
Sebastian Cardwell, the deputy chief content officer and head of scripted for Paramount UK, said of the announcements: "We’re incredibly proud to unveil this new slate of scripted commissions, which showcases the breadth and ambition of 5’s storytelling.
