Paradise season 3 release date speculation: When could it return?
What next for Xavier?

*Warning: This article contains spoilers for Paradise season 2.*
What a whirlwind of a season of Paradise that was, right? Across eight episodes, we were thrown right back into the world of underground bunkers, government secrets and post-apocalyptic living as Xavier (Sterling K Brown) embarked on a mission to find his wife.
Not knowing what he'd find out in the real world, he was in for plenty of shocks – and so were fans of the show. As well as the surprise (and heartbreaking) death of Annie (Shailene Woodley), Xavier took care of her newborn baby and vowed to protect her.
Created by Dan Fogelman, the series creator has always been vocal about the fact that he sees Paradise in a three-season arc and so, it's a good thing that it was renewed ahead of the season 2 finale. But what exactly could unfold in the third season and when could it be landing on our screens?
Read on for everything we know so far.
Will there be a Paradise season 3?
There will be! Paradise was renewed for another run ahead of the season 2 finale.
In an Instagram video posted to the official Paradise account, Sterling K Brown announced the news in suitably season 2 fashion, making a nod to Link's Love Actually-style moment.

The third season will likely be Paradise's final outing, with Fogelman always being clear in the fact that he originally pitched the show as having three seasons in total. Whether it could go on for any longer, we don't know for certain yet but we could hazard a guess and assume it will be.
Executive producer John Hoberg told The Hollywood Reporter: “We know what the end is, and it’s an end that would make it very difficult to make a season four come afterward."
Paradise season 3 release date speculation
Seeing as Hoberg has revealed that they're already developing season 3 episodes then we'd expect Paradise to stick to its pretty consistent schedule. So far, seasons have been released each year with season 1 premiering in 2025 and then season 2 in 2026.
We'd therefore expect season 3 to land on our screens in 2027 but as for exactly when, we'll have to wait for official confirmations!
Who could return in Paradise season 3 cast?

It wouldn't be a season of Paradise without Sterling K Brown leading proceedings as Xavier so can expect his return. As we now know from season 2, the series does enjoy bringing back past characters in flashbacks so we could anticipate still seeing the likes of James Marsden's President Cal and Jon Beavers's Billy.
One character we won't likely be seeing anymore of is Shailene Woodley's Annie, who sadly died after childbirth in season 2. Seeing as Link continued to be a complete mystery throughout the second season and seems to have been embroiled in plenty of twists of his own, we'd certainly expect Thomas Doherty to make a return to the series.
- Sterling K Brown as Agent Xavier Collins
- Julianne Nicholson as Samantha Redmond
- James Marsden as President Cal Bradford
- Sarah Shahi as Dr Gabriela Torabi
- Krys Marshall as Agent Robinson
- Jon Beavers as Billy
- Nicole Brydon Bloom as Jane Driscoll
- Charlie Evans as Jeremy
- Aliyah Mastin as Presley
- Percy Daggs IV as James
- Thomas Doherty as Link
