Doctor Jamie Cole (Royce Pierreson)

The new love in Georgie's life, Jamie works as a paediatrician at Manchester Hospital – a quiet life in comparison to his fiancé's. His life was turned upside down by the army medic, but his calm and determined attitude is at odds with her sometimes reckless approach to danger. But can Jamie keep his cool when Georgie's ex Elvis is back on the scene?

If you're wondering where you've seen Royce Pierreson before, perhaps you were left with your heart in your mouth watching BBC3's haunting and BAFTA-winning drama Murdered By My Boyfriend. Pierreson played Reece, the abusive partner of Georgia Campbell's Ashley – worlds apart from Jamie. He's also had roles in The Living and the Dead, Death in Paradise, Misfits and Thor: The Dark World.

Private Fingers (Sean Ward)

Our Girl fans will recognise Private "Fingers" from the drama's first series. A member of 2 Section, led by Captain James, Fingers and his fellow Privates know exactly how to push another's buttons but when push comes to shove, they've got each other's backs – and when Georgie is kidnapped, they do everything they can to rescue her.

Michelle Keegan isn't the only former Coronation Street star appearing in Our Girl. Sean Ward made his name on the cobbles, playing villainous Callum Logan between 2014 and 2015 and dating co-star Georgia May Foote. Before then he made appearances in Island at War, Accused and Doctors.

Nafula (Yusra Warsama)

Passionate and hard-working, Nafula supported her family growing up as well as assisting in a local medical clinic where she decided she wanted to work for an NGO. She is especially close to her colleague Kicki – the pair have worked together for many years.
