The Couple Next Door season 2 stars reveal how they handled filming "scary" sex scenes
Sam Palladio and Annabel Scholey opened up about the more bizarre moments of filming intimate moments.
Sex scenes are always awkward – and The Couple Next Door stars Sam Palladio and Annabel Scholey recently opened up to RadioTimes.com on just how hilariously weird they can get.
The pair appear in the new season of the raunchy Channel 4 drama as married couple Charlotte and Jacob who, after more than 20 years together, are trying to keep their sexual spark alive.
Speaking to RadioTimes.com about the situations they found themselves in when filming the scenes, Scholey admitted: "It's so important to have a good, good friendship.
"And we had a laugh when we were doing the intimate scenes, because, I mean, it's just ludicrous!
"We had to do a sex scene in a toilet, and we looked up and the camera guy was on the roof waving! It's so ridiculous."

"It's scary. They're scary scenes, and so you really need to feel like you've got your buddy with you, and that you can feel safe and also sexy," Scholey added. "It helps to be physically comfortable together."
Palladio agreed, explaining the pair both "took a minute or two" ahead of the scenes in order to prepare themselves.
"The relationship is really important, and we were able to have fun," he said. "I remember in one of the big intimate things, like 'don't you dare look down, because I have a very unattractive, papier maché pouch that they've gone 'here's some tape, tape this to yourself' Don't look down!"
"I didn't!" Scholey hastened to confirm. "We promised each other we could not look down, and we didn't!"

In the series, Charlotte and Jacob's otherwise solid life is shaken when Mia (Aggy K Adams), a mysterious nurse from Norway starts working at their hospital and then moves in next door.
To add fuel to the fire, Charlotte's ex Leo (Sendhil Ramamurthy) also makes a reappearance after all this time, and seems to still hold a place in his heart for his sexually-exploring ex.
Let the awkward love triangles commence.
