Bridgerton boss reveals her pick to lead potential new spin-off series
The more Bridgerton, the better.

Following the end of the fourth season of Bridgerton, fans have started to wonder just who will be the focus of the Ton next.
While we know the confirmed leads for the next two seasons, many of us can't help but wonder if any of our beloved characters could get their own spin-off, like Queen Charlotte.
Well, Shonda Rhimes has now waded into the conversation and revealed her top pick for the next spin-off – and it looks as though it could be in keeping with the Bridgertons as she's eyeing up Violet (Ruth Gemmell) as the next series hopeful.
Speaking on a recent episode of Craig Melvin’s podcast Glass Half Full, Rhimes said: “I’ve always said that I thought if we were going to do something like that, Violet would be a great person to tell the story about. That’s a possibility.”

Speaking to Radio Times previously, showrunner Jess Brownell revealed that she would also be hoping for a Lady Violet spin-off in the future, especially seeing as the fourth season of Bridgerton certainly lined up her story for one.
With multiple references to her younger years and her similar behaviour to Benedict, viewers are primed for an exploration of her youth – but will we actually be getting it? "That’s up to Shonda!," Brownell told Radio Times.
"Maybe it’s my way of being like, ‘Please, let’s do a spin-off!’ I would so love a young Violet spin-off. I think that’s up to Shonda and I’m so focused on the hopeful eight seasons that we have that I don’t have my head in that. But I would watch the hell out of a young Violet spin-off, for sure."
As we saw in season 4, Violet and Lord Marcus (Daniel Francis) really took their relationship to the next level and were keeping their engagement a secret from the Bridgerton family. When it came to crunch time to reveal their prospective wedded bliss, Violet seemed to backtrack on everything and underline her need for independence.
We can anticipate that we'll be seeing plenty more Violet in the next season of Bridgerton but – as many fans would love – it would be even more interesting to get insight into those years that we don't know. Whether we will get that, we'll just have to keep our fingers crossed and see.
