The show from Baby Reindeer producer Clerkenwell Films took home three gongs: best series, special interpretation award for ensemble cast and student award.

The series, which is set to premiere 8 June on Disney+ and Hulu, is created by former Sex Education writer Sophie Goodhart and follows Alice (Walker) after she discovers that her longtime best friend Steve (Jemaine Clement) has become romantically entangled with her daughter, Izzy (A Good Girl's Guide to Murder star Yali Topol Margalith).

When a devastated Alice confronts Steve, it’s not long before their friendship devolves into an all-out feud.

Disney has described the series as an "anti-romantic comedy" or even a "wrong-com" and recently gave fans a sneak peek at the (almost) three-decade age gap between Steve and Izzy in the form of first-look images.

The awards were given out on Tuesday evening (28 April) at the Palais des Festival following a week of screening and industry events.

Elsewhere, Florence Longpré’s Canadian show Empathie won the Europe 1 audience award, Finish sports drama Guts received best performance for star Roosa Söderholm, and Spain’s I Always Sometimes won best screenplay for writers Marta Bassols, Marta Loza and Almudena Monzú.

Walker is famous for her roles in various hit shows including The Split, Spooks, Last Tango in Halifax, Unforgotten and Annika.

Alongside Clement and Margalith, she's also joined by actor Joel Fry in the new series, who is best known for hit sitcoms W1A, Plebs and Our Flag Means Death.

Alice and Steve will premiere on Disney+ and Hulu on 8 June 2026.
