Episode 4: Matador

Summary

A phone call in the middle of the night from Corinna has Jay believing that there are cracks appearing in the Hodel case. He's also under the impression that the Bloody Romeo case may have something to do with the famed Black Dahlia murders

Review

Young Fauna Hodel (India Eisley) might look like she wouldn’t say boo to a goose, but she’s determined to uncover the truth about her background. “I’m going to find out everything, and I don’t care what it breaks,” she insists. The “breakage” has already claimed one victim, and now there’s another, although you might think they had it coming.

We also see another side to journalist Jay (Chris Pine), one that’s quite at odds with the stumbling addict we’ve come to know. The biggest mystery, of course, in this pitch-black drama is how Fauna’s grandfather George (Jefferson Mays) is tied to the notorious Black Dahlia murder. Jay is starting to get an idea.
