When you first start off in Pokémon Pokopia, the world is littered haphazardly with grass, flowers and all other sorts of junk.

While things like decorations and resources can easily be picked up, the same isn't true of somethings like grass and flowers.

So, if you plant something in the wrong place, how do you move it without chopping it down and starting over?

The answer, thankfully, is simple, and we'll take you through exactly what you need to know.

How to pick up and move grass and flowers in Pokémon Pokopia explained

In order to pick up and move things like grass and flowers in Pokopia, you first need to unlock the move Rototiller.

You can learn this move from Drilbur once you've unlocked Rock Smash. Follow the path northeast of the Pokémon Center, and you'll see a breakable wall on your right.

Smash this and head through, and you'll find a dried-up allotment and river area, and a Drilbur hoping you can tidy up their home for them.

Helping Drilbur out will allow you to learn the move Rototiller, which initially is taught to you as a means of tilling the ground to plant crops like Beans.

But what we're interested in is its secondary ability. Head over to a patch of grass or flowers, and position yourself so your marker is hovered over it.

Now, press and hold the zR button to use Rototiller, and you'll pick the patch up.

Walk it over to wherever you want to place it back down and simply press A to plant it – that's all there is to it!

It's an essential tool for making your island look just right, which is why we recommend it as one of the first things to do when you're getting started with Pokopia.
