Mixtape soundtrack: Full list of songs in the game, and why there isn't a streamer mode
Let's dance to Joy Division.

There's no denying that Mixtape has made a sizeable splash, with the nostalgia-soaked game earning all sorts of praise for its banging soundtrack.
Sure, there was some upset when the game opted to launch without a streamer mode (a rare move for a game stuffed with licensed songs), but that decision makes sense when you read the developer statement about it.
So, which songs are on the Mixtape soundtrack and what exactly is the deal with that streamer mode situation? Keep on reading and we'll answer both of those questions, and one other question for luck. Let's get to it, shall we?

Why doesn't Mixtape have a streamer mode?
Mixtape doesn't have a streamer mode because the songs in the game are a key part of the story.
Replacing them with royalty-free music for streamers to use would detract from the core narrative, as much as it would be handy for people posting gameplay footage on YouTube (where copyright strikes are an occupational hazard at the best of times).
Beethoven & Dinosaur, the studio behind the game, explained as much in a recent social media post, where they said, "We've got a few questions about why Mixtape has no streamer mode. It's a fair question.
"Mixtape is about music. It's about Devo. It's about the Smashing Pumpkins, and Lush and Alice Coltrane. It's about how you feel when you listen to Iggy Pop. The characters talk about the songs. The levels are designed around the songs. We couldn't change the songs. We couldn't replace them. We just couldn't.
"If you wanted to stream Mixtape and cannot because of this, we are truly sorry, but as David Gray says in 'Shine,' 'Your soul is the one thing you can't compromise,' and music is the soul of Mixtape."

Who composed the Mixtape original score?
Josh Abrahams composed the original score for Mixtape.
He is an Australian musician who previously worked with Johnny Galvatron on The Artful Escape, another game by the same studio as Mixtape.
Abrahams has also released music under the names Puretone, The Pagan and Bassliners. He has released three albums, a whole host of singles, and even worked with Baz Luhrmann on the Moulin Rouge soundtrack.
And that's all you need to know about the music of Mixtape. Now get back in there and keep enjoying the game!
