The first episode of Half Man is now available to watch on BBC iPlayer, kicking off the story of Ruben and Niall, as played by Richard Gadd and Jamie Bell.

In the first episode, while we meet them as adults at Niall's wedding, we predominantly follow them as teenagers, played by Stuart Campbell and Mitchell Robertson, seeing how they came into each others lives and became brothers.

But with plenty more story to tell leading up to that explosion of violence on Niall's wedding day, when will the next instalment be released?

When is Half Man episode 2 released on BBC iPlayer and BBC One?

After beginning its run at 6am on BBC iPlayer on Friday 24 April, the show is now following a weekly release schedule on the platform.

That means that Half Man episode 2 will be released at 6am on Friday 1 May 2026 on BBC iPlayer.

Meanwhile, it will also get a transmission on BBC One, airing at 10:40pm on Tuesday 5 May 2026.

Episodes of Half Man are being released weekly on BBC iPlayer at 6am on Fridays, starting from Friday 24 April. This lines up with the show's release on HBO in the US, where the show is being released at 9pm ET on Thursdays, starting from Thursday 23 April. This is 2am BST UK time.

Episodes are also set to get a release on BBC One in the UK, but this won't come until the following Tuesday, at 10:40pm. This time slot has so far been confirmed for the first two weeks, with the scheduling for subsequent episodes set to follow.

Given this, the show's full release schedule on BBC iPlayer is as follows:
