Wondering how to use the Mystical Key in Crimson Desert?

After helping the beggar in Hernand, you'll receive a Mystical Key for your troubles, which later transforms from its dull wood into a mighty fine trinket.

Later on, you'll have the chance to use the Mystical Key to open the Alchemist's Chamber, so here's a quick overview on how it all works.

Crimson Desert Mystical Key: How to open the Alchemist's Chamber door

Once you've finished the Heart Beyond Borders quest and started the Trace quest, you'll be tasked with examining the Mystical Key.

Open your inventory, highlight the key and press X/A to examine it.

Next, you'll be directed towards Hernand Castle. Equip the Hernandian Attire in your inventory that you received from cleaning the couple's chimney in the last quest, otherwise the guards won't let you through.

Walk through the two gates on your way to the castle, and once you reach the main entrance, take the first doorway on your right and head up the stairs.

From here, enter the hall on your right and you'll find a row of three locked doors on your left. Now, you'll be tasked with opening the Alchemist's Chamber.

This is just a matter of trial and error, but to save you the trouble, we'll tell you that the Alchemist's Chamber is the first door on the left.

Simply walk into the door to use the Mystical Key to open it and walk through.

Open the nearby chest while a shining portal opens up on the wall. Head over to the portal and press Square/X to head through and begin the Polar Opposites quest.
