Crimson Desert sales numbers: Player count and how much money it's made
No, these sales numbers are not a mirage.

Not just one of 2026's biggest games in terms of scale, but in sales too, Crimson Desert has got off to a flying start since release.
Developer Pearl Abyss has pumped plenty of time and money into this game, and will be delighted to see that the game is already returning on their investment.
Following on from some mind-boggling pre-order sales, the game has continued to sell well, with very impressive player counts on Steam to boot.
So, for the full Crimson Desert sales numbers, how much money it's made and how many players are playing, read on!
Crimson Desert sales numbers: How much money has it made?
As of 20 March 2026, Crimson Desert has sold more than 2 million copies, as confirmed by developer Pearl Abyss on social media.
This is hardly a surprise, considering the game had already sold a whopping 400,000 pre-orders before launch, according to Alinea Analytics.
Based on the retail price of £54.99 ($69.99), that adds up to roughly £110m ($140m) of revenue.
That being said, Crimson Desert also has a more expensive Deluxe Edition and Collector's Edition, the latter of which sells for £239.99 in the UK, so the true number is likely significantly higher.
Crimson Desert player count: What is the peak?
Crimson Desert's Steam player count peaked at 248,530 on 22 March 2026, according to SteamDB.
On release, the game shot to a player count of just under 240,000, which was impressive in its own right, but to see it managing not only to maintain that interest but go beyond it in the following days is testament to how much players are enjoying it.
Unfortunately, since neither PlayStation nor Xbox share figures for how many players are playing the game on their consoles, the best we're going to get is the SteamDB figure!
