How to get Dragon Mount in Crimson Desert explained
Not all men were meant to dance with dragons.

There's a lot of stuff to enjoy in Crimson Desert, but once we found out it was possible, all we really wanted was to unlock the Dragon Mount.
In a game that includes every mechanic under the sun, it's hardly a surprise that you're able to ride a dragon in Crimson Desert.
Fair warning, it's going to take you a while, but for an explainer on how to get the Dragon Mount in Crimson Desert, let's get into it.
How to get Dragon Mount in Crimson Desert explained
Before we get into the nitty gritty, you should be aware that this guide will include story spoilers for Chapter 9 and Chapter 11 – you've been warned!
With that out of the way, the first thing you need to do is reach Chapter 9: The Sage of the Desert.
During the Shattered Ties quest chain, you'll head to the Palace or Urdavah, where you'll pull a spear out of the wounded Blackstar, the dragon in question.
Next, return to Urdavah, and when you get near enough, you'll be given a 'Wait' prompt. Press this, and you'll be transported to the battlements with the dragon approaching.
It should be noted that you need at least Stamina Level 5 for this next part, so make sure you've got that done and dusted.
As the dragon nears you, jump up and start gliding, then use Axiom Force to grapple onto the creature's back.
When you've latched on, press jump to perform an Aerial Maneuver (this is what you need all that Stamina for).

You'll jump onto the dragon's back, and receive a 'Resist' button prompt. Press and hold this to tighten your grip as the dragon flies erratically.
Eventually, you'll be prompted to perform a Focused Force Palm. Activate Focus and then charge your Force Palm until a green glow appears on the dragon's back. Aim for this and strike it.
This will purify the dragon of its corruption and it will fly off – that's right, there's still more work to do.
Progress to Chapter 11: Truth and Reality, and head to Delesyia as part of the Foreboding Shadow quest chain.
You'll take on the Golden Star boss, an incredibly tough fight against a a kind of mecha dragon.
Eventually, once you've dealt enough damage to the Golden Star, Blackstar will appear to help you finish it off.
Once this is over, you can head back to the Nest of Valor from Chapter 9. You'll find Blackstar waiting for you, where you'll be able to use it as your permanent Dragon Mount.
It should be noted that Blackstar will play a role in the story going forward, but it's quite nice having a Dragon Mount for the rest of the game anyway!
