Crimson Desert doesn't hold your hand at any point – not even in the tutorial – forcing you to figure things out on your own. Or come to us for help instead!

So, once you've finished the Polar Opposites quest, here's how to synthesize the Abyss Cell in Crimson Desert's Abyss Without Balance quest.

Crimson Desert Abyss Without Balance: How to synthesize the Abyss Cell explained

When you first get to this section of the Abyss Without Balance quest, grab the floating blue cube in the centre of the area using Axiom Force.

Bring it over to the stone pillar on the side of the pit's edge to reactivate the lantern and remove the floor.

Jump down and grab the floating tile in this area using Axiom Force. Drag it over to the wall to your right, where you'll find a glowing blue slot.

Place the tile into the slot on the wall – it doesn't need to be very precise – and it will create an Abyss Cell.

Now, stand and watch the blue figure standing in front of the Abyss Cell to learn the Force Palm ability.

Press and hold the right analogue stick down (or middle mouse on PC) to charge up your Force Palm.

Aim it at the Abyss Cell and let loose to smack it into the wall, completing the 'Synthesize the Abyss Cell' objective.

Now, jump out of the pit and head over to the giant circular device on the far wall.

Jump up and hang on the centre of the device and use your Force Palm to activate it to complete the Abyss Without Balance quest.
