It’s always great to get another look at a character’s inner monologue – but who knew that Ellen Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) spent her iconic battle with the alien Queen in Aliens dreaming of getting home to her new TV package? Obviously, the subtext is very subtle in the original cut – credit to DirectTV for using the most state-of-the-art CGI to fill in the blanks for us.

Where to begin? A squad of RoboCops, desperate for noodles and hanging out on the beach whilst one of their number writhes about on the sand for no discernible reason – it’s the best advert ever made without a doubt, but not for noodles. And a reminder for movie producers to protect their copyright a little more carefully…
