The Winter Olympic Games are ready to dominate your life for the weeks to come as athletes flock to Milan and Cortina for the 2026 edition of the Games.
Over 2,800 competitors from 92 nations will fight for 116 gold medals spread across 16 disciplines in eight sports – and you can tune in to watch all the action live.
We're all sick of this great British winter, but the Alps offers a retreat as Team GB aim to smash their record total of five medals at a single Winter Olympics.
The target is set at "four to eight" and an expectant public will be watching on during the first winter edition in a European timezone since Turin 2006.

How to watch the Winter Olympics 2026 on TV and live stream online
BBC and TNT Sports will each broadcast coverage of the Winter Olympics in 2026.
TNT Sports – and streaming platform discovery+ – will show every single minute of Winter Olympics action.
The BBC also boasts TV rights throughout the Games, but is restricted to one live channel, plus one live stream online.
The corporation will broadcast over 450 hours of action with BBC One or BBC Two to broadcast the best of the live action each day, with that coverage plus an extra online feed to be made available on BBC iPlayer.
The Games formally begin with the opening ceremony on Friday 6th February and run until Sunday 22nd February.
