Liar Game is officially here, with fans of the manga delighted to see the story getting an adaptation.
Based on the manga by Shinobu Kaitani, the show follows a college student Nao who receives a mysterious suitcase containing 100 million yen and a letter informing her she's been selected to participate in the Liar Game, a battle where deception is the name of the game.
She teams up with conman Shinichi Akiyama – but can the pair survive?

Liar Game will run for two consecutive cours, so should consist of around 24 episodes.
The synopsis for Liar Game reads: "When Nao Kanzaki receives a strange letter and a suitcase containing 100 million yen, she learns that she has been selected to participate in the Liar Game.
"In this high-stakes psychological battle, lies, deception, and betrayal reign supreme. Naïve and honest, Nao turns to Shinichi Akiyama, a brilliant former con artist, to survive the twisted game. In a game built on lies, can honesty prevail?"
