The series, based on the manga written and illustrated by Q Hayashida, follows the reptilian Caiman and his friend Nikaido as they embark on a brutal quest for answers and revenge.

The second season sees the pair continuing their search to discover Caiman’s true identity, as they hunt for the sorcerer which took his memories, while the conflict between the Hole’s residents and En's Sorcerers intensifies in the grimy, post-apocalyptic world.

Here’s everything we know so far about the release schedule for the highly anticipated Dorohedoro season 2.

Dorohedoro season 2 release schedule: When are new episodes out?

The long-awaited second season of Dorohedoro will premiere on anime streaming service Crunchyroll on Wednesday 1 April 2026, with the platform set to release the series alongside Netflix.

While the first season was originally a Netflix exclusive – proving a sleeper cult hit for the streamer – fans who primarily subscribe to Crunchyroll will be pleased to see the second season available alongside other MAPPA titles.

New episodes were first announced back in 2024, with an initial release window targeting 2025. However, the series faced delays, largely due to studio MAPPA's packed production schedule, with director Yuichiro Hayashi working across major projects including the Chainsaw Man film and Attack on Titan.

Current information suggests the second season will run for 11 episodes in total. If the series follows a typical weekly release format, the expected release schedule is as follows:

  • Episode 1 - Wednesday 1 April 2026
  • Episode 2 - Wednesday 8 April 2026
  • Episode 3 - Wednesday 15 April 2026
  • Episode 4 - Wednesday 22 April 2026
  • Episode 5 - Wednesday 29 April 2026
  • Episode 6 - Wednesday 6 May 2026
  • Episode 7 - Wednesday 13 May 2026
  • Episode 8 - Wednesday 20 May 2026
  • Episode 9 - Wednesday 27 May 2026
  • Episode 10 - Wednesday 3 June 2026
  • Episode 11 - Wednesday 10 June 2026

However, this is a speculative release schedule, and we’ll update this section once more information is released.

At this stage, the narrative shifts between Caiman’s journey in the Hole and the escalating conflicts within the Sorcerers’ world.

As Caiman and Nikaido push further in their search for answers, the focus expands to include key developments involving En’s organisation, cross-world rivalries, and the internal power struggles among sorcerers.

These volumes also delve further into the structure and motivations of En family’s, alongside the increasing involvement of other major sorcerers and factions, raising the stakes of the wider conflict.

Meanwhile, Caiman edges closer to uncovering the truth behind his identity, with revelations beginning to connect the various threads woven throughout the story. Expect plenty more brutal and chaotic violence along the way!
