Who is the ‘Secret Traitor’? All the theories so far
The plot thickens...

Who on earth is the Secret Traitor? That has been the question on the minds of the nation ever since The Traitors introduced one of its biggest twists to date.
The fourth outing of the reality series kicked off 2026 in style as Claudia Winkleman chose her secret Traitor, a player who would work alone and hold more power than any of the others in the game.
Over the past two episodes, the chosen player has provided a murder shortlist for the three Traitors to choose from each night.
While the secret Traitor has hidden in plain sight so far, tonight's episode (7th January), it seems all will be revealed to Stephen, Rachel and those tuning in at home.
With the identity still a secret for now, let's get theorising...
Who is the Secret Traitor? All the theories so far
Ellie

Could it have just been a poorly put together sentence or is Ellie hiding something?
In the third episode, Ellie spoke to the camera and said: "If I'm too quiet, people will start to think I'm some sort of secret Traitor."
Fans have immediately rushed to social media to speculate if this was an innocent comment or has Ellie let slip the biggest reveal of all.
Amanda

Who better to go undercover in The Traitors castle than a retired police detective?
Amanda certainly has the skillset and techniques to be the secret Traitor and she even said: "My Jekyll and Hyde personality is my secret weapon."
Fiona

For eagle-eyed fans, they have been paying attention to the handwriting of the secret Traitor and that of those at the round table and Fiona's is somewhat similar.
But that isn't all, Fiona also shared she wasn't interested in receiving a shield during the latest mission, which is rather telling as she knows she's immune from murder and therefore wouldn't need the protection.
Harriet

Harriet is currently lauded as the best Faithful in the castle thanks to her crusade in banishing Hugo, but could this be a secret Traitor turning on a Traitor?
She is also hiding the fact she once worked as a barrister from the group, so it might be rather easy to hide yet something else from the group.
Jade

Another player who appeared slightly reserved after the Traitors were chosen was Jade, which aroused suspicion among the Faithful.
"Jade was looking straight down and she looked terrified, like, really scared," one contestant noted, adding: "It could be nerves, I don't know, but that's the only thing I've got."
Judy

One theory amongst the three Traitors is that Judy could be the secret Traitor, albeit with rather slim evidence to suggest why.
After the Traitors were chosen at the roundtable, the other players said they felt a "shift" in Judy.
At that point in the game, if Judy were chosen by Claudia she would believe she was picked to be a Traitor, but not yet a secret one.
And when the Traitors received their shortlist at the end of episode 1, their attention turned to Judy.
Stephen told the others: "I think it could be Judy, I just have a feeling she could be the person behind all this."
This ultimately proved to be incorrect as Judy was banished from the castle and revealed herself to be a Faithful.
