Peter Capaldi confirms he rejected Celebrity Traitors season 2 – and explains why
His reasoning may surprise you.

Amid rumours of famous faces heading to The Traitors castle later this year, there is one actor fans can be sure will not be making an appearance – and their reason might surprise you.
During an appearance on the BBC's Sunday With Laura Kuenssberg, the actor revealed he returned down the chance to appear in the upcoming season of The Celebrity Traitors.
"I think there's a level of fame that… I think it propels you into the public eye, at a level of exposure that I don’t really want," he explained.
"I like doing, you know, it’s like doing my music things – it’s very difficult for people in that business to understand that you want to keep it small."

Filming will be gearing up for the second celebrity edition soon, though casting details are yet to be confirmed by the BBC, but that hasn't stopped the rumour mill from spinning.
Some of the names thrown into the mix include the likes of actor Michael Sheen, singer Cheryl Tweedy and Hugh Grant.
Just days after Alan Carr took the title of Celebrity Traitors champion, the BBC confirmed a second season had been greenlit.
Kalpna Patel-Knight, Head of Entertainment at the BBC, said of the renewal: "Studio Lambert have done an outstanding job as The Celebrity Traitors has well and truly captivated the nation, becoming a bona fide highlight of the year bringing record numbers of people together to enjoy every twist and turn.
"In 2026 the doors of the castle will be opened again to welcome celebrity players to the game to see who can charm, who can scheme and ultimately who can survive in series two which promises to be just as unmissable as the first."
The Celebrity Traitors will return later this year. Season 1 is available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
