Emmerdale actor Matthew Wolfenden has played David Metcalfe since 2006. In fact, one of his storylines included his character's diagnosis with testicular cancer leading Matthew to front a campaign on Lorraine called ‘Check your Chaps' aimed at raising awareness of testicular and prostate cancer.

Although he was initially apprehensive about taking part in The Real Full Monty, he understands the importance of getting the word out. “If one person, watches the documentary has a laugh at our expense but then thinks they should check themselves, finds a lump and heads to the doctors we’ve done our job right.”

<He hopes The Real Full Monty will reduce some of the stigmatism behind getting checked out. “Street guys might be thinking it’s not cool to go to the doctor, or talk about that. There are so many ignorances. We hope this will put the spotlight on it and answer some of those questions and get rid of some of misunderstandings about getting checked."

Musician Harry Judd is best known for being the drummer in McFly but he's already proven his skills as a dancer, winning Strictly Come Dancing with Aliona Vilani back in 2011. When asked if he felt that put him under extra pressure he replied, “A little bit maybe. I’m not worried about the dancing, that’s kind of in my comfort zone, but it’s the stripping, that’s the intense bit really. So the dancing is fine, it’s very different to Strictly. “

TV presenter and journalist Dominic Littlewood is probably best known for exposing frauds on Fake Britain, but he also has presenting roles on Watchdog and The One Show. He wants to raise awareness after he found out he had prostate cancer himself, fortunately catching the disease in its early stages. “I want to get the message out there to other men to overcome their embarrassment and get their prostate checked. That’s why I’m getting up on stage and stripping off. It’s not about vanity. … I genuinely think what we are doing will save lives."

Reality star Elliot Wright first appeared on our screens in 2013 in The Only Way is Essex as Mark Wright’s older cousin. Taking part in The Real Full Monty is extremely important to him, as his dad is currently battling with prostate cancer. Outlining the difficulty of living with someone with the disease, he said, “I watch my mum, the stress levels that she goes through, it’s terrible, she’s deeply upset, as I am. Cancer is ruthless, it takes no prisoners, and the worse thing about men is that we are stubborn as a breed.”
The Real Full Monty will be on TV tonight at 8:30pm on ITV
