Game of Thrones and Sex Education favourites join Glenn Close in new UK drama as first look released
Tanya Reynolds and Iain Glen will star alongside Close in Channel 4 drama Up to No Good.

A host of new cast members have been confirmed to join Glenn Close in new Channel 4 series Up to No Good, with a first-look image having also been released.
The image (above) shows Close in her lead role as Maud Oldcastle, in the six-part drama series which is based on Helene Tursten’s short story collections An Elderly Lady Is Up to No Good and An Elderly Lady Must Not Be Crossed.
Meanwhile, key new cast members confirmed to be joining the series include Tanya Reynolds (Sex Education), Mathew Baynton (Ghosts), Iain Glen (Game of Thrones), Raphaël Acloque (The Corsican Line), Nadia Albina (A Thousand Blows) and Louisa Binder (Hotel Portofino).
Meg Bellamy (The Crown), Madeleine Mantock (The Long Song), Peter Egan (Unforgotten) and Richard E Grant (The Celebrity Traitors) are also joining the cast.

They round out a line-up which was already confirmed to include Claudia Jessie (Bridgerton), Gloria Obianyo (Andor), Anita Dobson (EastEnders), Ben Crompton (Lockwood & Co), Meera Syal (The Wheel of Time) and Penelope Wilton (Downton Abbey).
The series, which has been written by playwrights and siblings Nina Raine (Consent) and Moses Raine (Donkey Heart), follows Closes's character Maud, described as "a hilariously brusque, cantankerous, ruthless older woman". It is noted that those are her nice qualities, as she is also a killer.
The synopsis for the series says: "Determined to break from a lifetime spent caring for her sister (Wilton), Maud sets out to claim a long-overdue second act, but when a suspicious young detective (Jessie) investigating a death in Maud’s building starts to believe there is more to her than meets the eye, Maud is forced to reckon with her crimes, present and past."

When the series was first announced, Rebecca Holdsworth, commissioning editor for drama at Channel 4, said in a statement: "Nina and Moses Raine's deliciously dark and witty world has drawn together a truly fantastic line-up, and we're excited for audiences to be introduced to Maud Oldcastle and the unforgettable characters surrounding her.
"Up to No Good promises a bold, razor sharp and wickedly entertaining series that feels undoubtedly Channel 4."
Up to No Good will air on Channel 4.
