As lovely as Shipton Abbott is – and one certainly couldn't describe it as sleepy, despite appearances, given all of the comings and goings – it's no surprise Zoe is considering doing a Bilbo Baggins and heading off on an adventure.

In the latest episode of Beyond Paradise, Esther's teenage daughter, who works at Martha's restaurant, expressed to her boss that she doesn't know what she wants to do with her life, before asking Martha how she finally worked it all out in her head.

She didn't, was her response. Instead, Martha decided to go solo travelling, which proved to be the best decision she ever made.

Not only did she meet Humphrey (and the rest is history, and all that), she also learned a lot about herself, especially during the more challenging parts of her travels.

"My advice is to have all the experiences you can, good and bad," she added. "Take risks, choose adventure, Zoe."

It was a convincing pitch from Martha. Soon after their chat, Zoe began exploring possible destinations, including Dolphin Cove, the Australian beachside town where Return to Paradise is set – a location she's later seen researching on her phone.

Dolphin Cove isn't real, however the cast and crew filmed in Australia’s Illawarra region, just south of Sydney, as well as on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.

But will Zoe be packing her knapsack and heading there?

Just as she was building up the courage to tell her mum about her plans, Zoe chickened out. After an awkward encounter with Archie and his new girlfriend – after which Esther told her daughter that she would always be her "little baby girl" – she simply didn't have it in her.

Esther's had a tough time of late, even though she wouldn't be caught dead admitting such a thing. And it's been just the two of them for the longest time. If Zoe was to leave, where would that leave her mum?

So, for the time being, she's put her travel plans on the back burner, but it's a conversation that'll likely rear its head again. And while an Esther freakout is highly probable – which is often how she expresses her love for her only child – Zoe will have to fly the nest sooner rather than later.

But, will she be paying a visit to Mackenzie and co? Perhaps she can work alongside Daisy at the beach club to earn some extra wonga for her travels.

Before she makes it there, however, she's going to need to break it to her mum.

Over to you, Zoe.
