The Simpsons season 37 guest stars announced – includes Succession, Luther and Batman stars
Matt Groening has announced the latest screen icons to arrive in Springfield – including one familiar voice.

The Simpsons may not enjoy the critical acclaim it once held, but it still has no trouble attracting A-list celebrities to Springfield, with the upcoming 37th season being no exception.
During a panel at this weekend's San Diego Comic-Con, the current creative team assembled to discuss their next batch of episodes, for which they've booked some major names to guest star.
In as-yet-undisclosed roles, viewers can expect to hear Academy Award winner Kieran Culkin (of A Real Pain and Succession fame), plus It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia's Glenn Howerton and Broadway star Cole Escola (via Variety).
Friend of the show Albert Brooks, whose previous The Simpsons characters include Bond villain boss Hank Scorpio (in You Only Movie Twice) and Environmental Protection Agency boss Russ Cargill (in the 2007 film), will also feature once again.
Comedy actors Danny Pudi (Community) and Adam Pally (Sonic the Hedgehog) have also joined the line-up, alongside father-son duo Brendan (The Banshees of Inisherin) and Domhnall Gleeson (Star Wars).
One of the bright spots of later The Simpsons seasons have been the annual 'Treehouse of Horror' Halloween specials, with the next edition boasting three iconic stars in Idris Elba, Viola Davis and Michael Keaton.
Elba and Davis are known for detective dramas Luther and How to Get Away with Murder respectively, among other credits, including 2021's The Suicide Squad, where they co-starred as mercenary Bloodsport and intelligence chief Amanda Waller.
Meanwhile, Keaton has his own history with the DC Universe, having played Bruce Wayne in Tim Burton's Batman and its 1992 sequel, before reprising the role decades later for 2023's The Flash.

It's not the first time Keaton has appeared on The Simpsons either, having played Jack Crowley – the artistic prisoner who Marge befriends – in season 12 episode Pokey Mom.
The Simpsons creator Matt Groening reiterated at the panel that there is "no end in sight" for the animated sitcom, and that the team plan to keep producing episodes "until somebody dies".
The series will reach another astonishing milestone this year as it reaches its 800th episode, with executive producer Matt Selman hyping a special double-bill to mark the occasion.
"It's a big deal to do 800 shows, and so we're going to be doing two brand new original episodes that night," he explained. "They're top secret for now, but I promise you, they'll be the best 800th episode of anything you've ever seen."
The Simpsons is available to stream on Disney Plus. Season 37 coming soon.
