Balamory revival series confirms beloved cast members returning after 20 years
They're back!

Prepare to feel nostalgic as the BBC has confirmed returning cast members in the revamped series of Balamory coming to TV screens next year.
It was announced last year that the beloved show would return for at least two seasons, but details were pretty thin on the ground as to what to expect – including if any of the original stars would return.
But fans can now rest easy, as it has been revealed that original stars Julie Wilson Nimmo (Miss Hoolie), Andrew Agnew (PC Plum), Kim Tserkezie (Penny Pocket) and Juliet Cadzow (Edie McCredie) will be reprising their roles.
The new episodes, set to air on CBeebies and iPlayer in 2026, will feature a mix of familiar faces and new characters, providing preschoolers with "a joyful mix of stories, comedy, songs and adventures".
New characters include scientist and inventor Ava Potts (played by Danielle Jam), local vet Dr Ollie (Carl Spencer) who lives with his two children, and the Harbour Master (William Andrews).

Kate Morton, head of commissioning 0-6 for BBC Children's and Education said: "It’s wonderful to see some of the original cast returning alongside new faces, creating a perfect mix of nostalgia and discovery for families to enjoy together.
"This vibrant new series will delight both children and the grown-ups who remember it fondly."
Filming is set to take place in Glasgow and on location in Tobermory, the real-life Isle of Mull town that inspired the original show's setting that so many know and love.
