October 15th, 1946. Hermann Goering - Hitler's right hand man and head of the once-powerful Luftwaffe - sits in his prison cell awaiting his appointment with the hangman the following day. Suddenly, a guard sees Goering put his hand to his mouth, after which he quickly begins to choke. A medic rushes into the cell, but it's too late, Goering has taken his own life and cheated the hangman.
