PokéPark Kanto revealed: New Pokémon theme park announced with first visuals
Where do I sign up?

In the Pokémon Presents live stream today (Tuesday 22nd July 2025), The Pokémon Company revealed a new Pokémon-themed theme park called PokéPark Kanto.
Rumours have been circling about this Pokémon park for around a year, presumably because people had spotted the building work going on, but it's nice to have it officially confirmed.
Better yet, PokéPark Kanto will be opening sooner than you might expect — the official Pokémon website says it will open its doors in "early 2026".
In terms of location and size, we know that PokéPark Kanto will take up "over 26,000 square meters in a corner of Yomiuriland located in Tokyo’s verdant Tama Hills".
It's been called "the first-ever permanent outdoor Pokémon attraction", an important distinction between these and the various travelling experiences you may have attended over the years.
In terms of when and where to buy your tickets, The Pokémon Company has stated, "advance ticket sales are expected to begin in late 2025. Please stay tuned for information regarding ticket sales, prices, and more".
To take a look at the first visuals from PokéPark Kanto, check out the video below. You can jump forward to 5 minutes and 48 seconds.
The life-sized Pokémon Center and Mart look particularly brilliant to this writer, and it will certainly be interesting to see how the Pokémon encounters are brought to life in the real world.
One thing we do know is that the park will be split into two main areas, the forest and the town. Between the two, it's said to be "home to over 600 Pokémon".
It certainly seems safe to predict that this will be a very popular tourist attraction when it opens! And when you consider that there's also the Nintendo World near Osaka, a trip to Japan is sounding very tempting for next year.

Looking for more details on the two areas? Well, as described in the official blog post: "The Pokémon Forest is a spacious wilderness spanning nearly 500 meters in length. It features various terrains including hilly paths, tall grass, tunnels, rocky trails, and more.
"Observe a wide variety of Pokémon from Kanto and other regions as they run, battle, and share Berries. Here, you will find Pokémon that tower high overhead and others that hide underground or behind greenery. What exactly are those Pokémon doing? Keep your eyes peeled and find your favorite Pokémon.
"Sedge Town is a place where Pokémon and Trainers from around the world meet and forge new friendships. In Sedge Town, you will find the Pokémon Trainers’ Market full of goods, as well as the Pokémon Center, Poké Mart, Sedge Gym, a Pokémon parade, and two other attractions!
"Connect with Pokémon Trainers and Pokémon alike at Sedge Town’s iconic Primarina Fountain for an unforgettable experience."
We'll be sure to keep you updated on PokéPark Kanto as more details come to light. And, why yes, we would love to attend ourselves. The saving starts now!
