In short, there are going to be more places, pals and players, but that is selling it short.

It's worth noting that we only have an estimated time of release, as Pocketpair has not been able to commit to an exact time, but if it does slip, it shouldn’t be by a huge amount.

But, with so much to cover, let’s get straight to it. Read on for the full scoop on what’s coming in Palworld 1.0!

When is the Palworld 1.0 release date?

The Palworld 1.0 release date is 10 July 2026 in the UK.

John “Bucky” Buckley posted an estimated timeframe for the Palworld 1.0 release on Discord, but stressed that “this is NOT 100% the exact launch time”. However, it did end up releasing at this time and you can now play Palworld in 1.0, with a 30% discount available for a limited time.

As for the rest of the world, the release date was actually on 9 July instead, as developer Pocketpair is based in Japan.

Palworld 1.0: What to expect

After more than two years in early access, Palworld is finally hitting 1.0, an update which developer Pocketpair describes as the biggest overhaul in the game's history.

The main addition is the World Tree, a prominent feature that has been visible on the horizon since Palworld first launched. This newly explorable locale is where the main story arc of the game will conclude, though there will still be content updates in the future.

There are also the new Sky Islands to explore, reminiscent of those found in Tears of the Kingdom.

Of course, there are more Pals to collect, with Palworld 1.0 bringing the biggest new batch to date.

Progression has also seen a large overhaul, so much so that Pocketpair has advised that players start afresh.

There’s a new Genetic Recombination breeding system that allows players to combine high-tier legendary Pals into new variations with inherited traits.

For multiplayer, server clustering has been introduced, which should allow for a larger shared world, meaning you will come across players more often.
