From developer Arc System Works who brought us Dragon Ball FighterZ and Guilty Gear Strive, Marvel Tōkon is already shaping up to be another incredible fighter.

So, if you're wondering how you can get in on the upcoming Marvel Tōkon beta, here's when it takes place and what you need to know.

When is the Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls closed beta?

The Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls closed beta will take place between 5th and 7th September 2025.

Depending on your time zone, beta access will begin on a different date. Although specific times are not confirmed, there are three time zones with their start dates confirmed:

  • PDT – 5th September
  • UTC – 6th September
  • JST – 6th September

As such, it seems likely that the game will only be available for a day, starting on the 6th and ending on the 7th in Europe and Asia, and starting on the 5th and ending on the 6th in the Americas.

How to get access to the Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls closed beta

To get access to the Marvel Tōkon beta, you have to sign up on the game's official PlayStation store page via a web browser.

Once you're on the page, scroll down until you reach the 'Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls Closed Beta' section, and click 'Register now'.

If you haven't already, complete the steps to sign up for the PlayStation Beta program.

Once you're finished, you'll receive an email confirming that you've been automatically enrolled in the Marvel Tōkon beta.

It should be mentioned that signing up for beta access is not a guarantee, and it's likely that beta access will only be granted to a few lucky individuals.

Can I play the Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls closed beta on PC?

Unfortunately, the September closed beta for Marvel Tōkon is only available to players with a PS5 console and valid PlayStation Network account in good standing.

While there may be future betas available on PC, you're going to have to source yourself a PS5 if you want access to this one.
