We don't have long at all to wait, with the Season 1 release date arriving only a few weeks after BO7's November launch, and is set to see some iconic CoD maps make a return.

We'll also get a few Zombies maps added, including full-scale and Survival maps, gadgets, perks and more.

So, if you want a look at the CoD BO7 Season 1 roadmap and are curious when Season 1 starts, we've got you covered.

When is the CoD Bo7 Season 1 launch date

CoD Bo7 Season 1 will be released on 4th December 2025. While we don't know the launch time just yet, it is likely to be around the same time as previous Call of Duty updates:

  • US West Coast (PT) – 9am
  • US Mountain (MT) – 10am
  • US Central (CT) – 11am
  • US East Coast (ET) – 12am
  • UK (GMT) - 5pm
  • Central Europe (CET) – 6pm
  • Singapore (SGT) – 12am, 5 December
  • Japan (JST) – 1am, 5 December
  • Australia East Coast (AEDT) – 3am, 5 December
  • New Zealand (NZDT) – 5am, 5 December

The season is also likely to be split into two sections, with the Season 1 Reloaded update dropping sometime in early-mid January 2026.

CoD Black Ops 7 Season 1 new maps

Season 1 of CoD Bo7 will see seven new 6v6 maps come to the game. These include Fate, Odysseus and Utopia. On top of that, Season 1 will see Standoff and Meltdown return from CoD Black Ops 2 in remastered form.

Fate takes place in the Nicaragua compound at the beginning of the campaign. Odysseus takes inspiration from the CoD Black Ops 2 mission of the same name and has several close-quarters hallways onboard the USS Barack Obama from that mission. Finally, Utopia is set in an abandoned Guild facility in Australia.

You can watch the trailer for these maps and Standoff below:

That leaves two maps yet to be revealed fully, which will arrive during the Season 1 Reloaded update in January. This will include Yakei, Meltdown, and an unannounced map.

CoD Bo7 Season 1 new weapons

Season 1 will also add seven new weapons. These include the Maddox assault rifle from CoD Black Ops 4 and the Crossbow and Ballistic Knife, with the classic Sticks and Stones mode being teased for Season 1 too. The Kogot-7 SMG will also be arriving at launch, alongside the Sokol 545 LMG in the season. Finally, the Hawker HX sniper rifle and Sturmwolf 45 SMG will also be arriving mid-season.

Sticks and Stones forces you to use both of those weapons to reach a certain threshold of kills in a free-for-all style format.

While not a weapon, Season 1 will also add a new scorestreak called the Deadeye Drone, which is a small helicopter like drone with a railgun attached to it.

CoD Bo7 Season 1 Zombies

Three Zombies maps will arrive with CoD Bo7 Season 1. These will include a brand new full-scale map, Astra Malorum, which will continue the main Easter egg storyline of the game, as well as Exit 115 and Cosmodrome from the Ashes of the Damned map.

The full intro cinematic for this map can be seen below:

Season 1 will also add in every Field Upgrade and Ammo mod from CoD Black Ops 6. This includes Light Mend, Mister Peeks and Frost Blast. Limited time Zombies modes will also be added.

This is easily the most content Zombies has seen in a Season and will certainly make fans happy. You can see a deeper look at this in the gameplay trailer for the Astra Malorum map.

CoD Bo7 Season 1 Warzone integration

On top of all of that, CoD Bo7 Season 1 will also integrate Warzone into the full progression systems of Black Ops 7, meaning every new weapon and item will be added to the mode, alongside unique camo challenges, new Calling Card challenges and more.

A new map will also be launching in the Resurgence mode: Haven's Hollow. This is an expanded version of Liberty Falls from Black Ops 6 Zombies and features other key Zombies locations like the manor from Shattered Veil, and Janus Towers from Ashes of the Damned.

Verdansk is also seeing some small POI changes with the Signal Station, and Factory being added to the map to bring it in line with Black Ops 7 and update the lore of some areas.
