Victoria Lee Jones, the daughter of actor Tommy Lee Jones, has died at the age of 34.
Victoria, who starred in Men in Black II alongside her father, was found dead in a San Francisco hotel in the early hours of New Year’s Day, according to TMZ, which cited a number of law enforcement sources.
A spokesperson for the San Francisco Police Department told the outlet that it responded to a request for medical aid at 2:52am, confirming that one person was pronounced dead at the scene.
At present, the cause of death remains unknown.
Victoria is the second child of the Oscar-winning actor Tommy Lee Jones and his first wife, Kimberlea Cloughley.
She briefly followed in her father’s footsteps during her childhood, starring in a number of his movies including Men in Black II and a western called The Three Burials Of Melquiades Estrada, which was directed by Tommy.
He praised his daughter's acting while promoting the film, telling The New Yorker: “She’s a good actress, has her SAG card, speaks impeccable Spanish. When she was a baby, I told Leticia, her nurse, to speak to her in Spanish.”
He continued: “She had to get up at 5am for her part. One morning, she wouldn’t get out of bed. I said, ‘Honey, this is work’, But she wouldn’t budge.
“So I fired her. Then, without telling me, the production staff went over and woke her and rushed her out to the set just in time.”
Victoria also starred as a cheerleader in the noughties TV series One Tree Hill in 2005.
She had not acted since, but occasionally attended red carpet events with her father.
Tommy is best known for starring in a host of Hollywood movies, including Men in Black, No Country for Old Men, Captain America: The First Avenger, Jason Bourne and The Fugitive, for which he won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor.
