Does The Super Mario Galaxy Movie have a post-credits scene?
Is there another set-up?

So, you’ve sat through 90 plus minutes of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. And you’re wondering, does this thing have any post-credits scenes?
Ever since the Marvel Cinematic Universe popularised the practice of plonking a little teaser or coda at the end of the credits scroll, very few genre movie franchises have been safe from these little teasing nuggets.
So, what’s the story with The Super Mario Galaxy Movie? Does it have post-credits scenes? Keep on reading to find out!
Does the Super Mario Galaxy Movie have post-credits scenes?
Yes, we can confirm The Super Mario Galaxy Movie does have post-credits scenes.
In fact, you need to stay for two post credits scenes, my friend. So, while you're waiting for the credits to scroll by, you’d better get comfy and do some scrolling of your own on your phone!
In classic MCU fashion, there's one scene in the middle of the credits, and there's another one right at the very end of the scroll.

What happens in the Super Mario Galaxy Movie mid-credits scene?
The mid-credits scene in The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is more of a jokey one.
In this first bonus moment, you’ll see Bowser and Bowser Junior being taunted by their jailor, who is a nihilistic little star called Lumalee.
Fans of the first film will remember that, back in the previous movie, Lumalee was imprisoned by Bowser alongside Luigi, regularly making dark jokes for the parents to enjoy.
Now, Lumalee is the one holding Bowser captive, meaning that the roles have completely reversed.
What happens in the Super Mario Galaxy Movie post-credits scene?
At the very end of the credits, there's a little tease of a character for next time. And it is Daisy!
In this little scene, Daisy saves a sad civilian from being mugged by a monkey in a spacesport, calling back to a scene from earlier in the film.
The yellow-dress-wearing princess, who was first seen in 1989’s Super Mario Land game for the Game Boy, is clearly being set up for a role in the next Mario film!
We don’t know much about what Nintendo is planning for its Mario movies going forward, but we’ll be sure to let you know as we hear more!
