Game of Thrones legend 'in talks' to join The Batman Part II in key role
It looks like there could be another big name addition to what is already shaping up to be a very star-studded cast.

It looks like Charles Dance could be the latest big name to join the increasingly star-studded sequel to The Batman – with reports that the Game of Thrones star is "in talks" to appear in a key role in the movie.
According to Deadline, the veteran actor could be set to play the role of Christopher Dent, who is the father of iconic comic book character Harvey Dent/Two Face.
Harvey himself is being played by Oscar nominee and MCU stalwart Sebastian Stan, while the role of his wife has gone to Scarlet Johansson – so it looks set to be a very starry incarnation of the Dent family.

Of course, Robert Pattinson will be reprising his role as The Caped Crusader, while other actors from the previous film in line for a return in The Batman Part II include Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, Colin Farrell as Oz/The Penguin and Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Jim Gordon.
Meanwhile, Zoë Kravitz will not be reprising her role as Selina Kyle/Catwoman from the last outing.
Interestingly, there have already been reports of several other high profile actors being approached for the role of Christopher, with Robert De Niro, Brad Pitt, Stellan Skarsgård, Viggo Mortensen, and Daniel Craig all having been rumoured at different points, although there is no confirmation that any of them were officially in the running.
Radio Times has reached out to Charles Dance's reps and DC Studios for comment.
The Batman Part II is writer/director Matt Reeves's follow-up to his own critically acclaimed film – which was released more than four years ago in March 2022 – with fans having had to be patient for updates about the sequel.
At one point, some even feared that the project could be cancelled amid changes at Warner Bros and DC, the latter of which largely rebooted its continuity with last summer's Superman.
However production on the film is now set to start very soon, with a release date currently set for October 2027 – so hopefully there shouldn't be too much longer to wait before we find out more about what Reeves has in store this time around.
We can probably expect plenty more brooding from Pattinson's somewhat emo version of the character – and perhaps even an appearance from Barry Keoghan's Joker, who was very briefly teased at the end of the last film.
The Batman Part II is coming to cinemas in October 2027.
