Incredibles 3 and Lilo & Stitch 2 get release dates confirmed – but fans have a while to wait
The films won't be landing on our screens until 2028...

Disney has revealed when fans can expect The Incredibles 3 and Lilo & Stitch 2 to land on our screens.
A live-action Lilo & Stitch sequel will be released on 26 May 2028, followed by the third Incredibles instalment on 16 June, it was announced during Disney’s annual shareholders meeting on Wednesday (18 March).
Plot details remain under wraps for Lilo & Stitch 2, which was announced back in June 2025.
However, we do know that it'll be penned by Chris Sanders, who co-directed the 2002 movie and voiced Stitch, and reprised his role in the 2025 update.
The first live-action remake of Lilo & Stitch came out in May 2025 and was a huge success, earning over $1.03 billion at the global box office.
While the 2025 version was largely considered to be a faithful recreation of the 2002 movie, there were a few changes, including a less violent and destructive Stitch.
Speaking about the reasons behind this change, director Dean Fleischer Camp explaining why previously told Radio Times: "Things such as Stitch's level of destruction and violence... like, violent is too strong a word, but violence in general, can play very funny in animation."
He continued: "You can imagine a very funny car wreck on a highway, but I would challenge any live-action director to do that with real cars and real people, because you're just worried.
"And so, you know, we spent a lot of time trying to figure out how do we preserve the essential Stitchiness of Stitch and the destruction and the fun of the movie, while also navigating around those pitfalls?"

Incredibles 3, the long-awaited third movie in The Incredibles franchise, was announced back in 2024.
While story details are yet to be revealed for the new entry, it has been revealed that it will be directed by Peter Sohn (Elemental), marking the first instalment without franchise veteran Brad Bird at the helm.
However, Bird will remain involved as a screenwriter and producer.
