The biggest night in the UK film calendar is upon us, with the best films of the past year being honoured at the glittering BAFTA Film Awards held at London's Royal Festival Hall – and the ceremony is underway now.

This year, Alan Cumming is taking over from fellow Scot David Tennant as host of the ceremony, and we can also expect to see some big name guests throughout the evening – including a musical performance from the singing stars of animated mega-hit K-Pop Demon Hunters and a special appearance from none other than Paddington Bear.

But, of course, the most important aspect of the night is the awards themselves. When the nominations were announced last month it was Paul Thomas Anderson's One Battle After Another that led the way with 14 nods, but how many of those can it convert into wins? And how well will other big hitters like Sinners and Hamnet fare?

Meanwhile, we'll also see a new BAFTA Rising Star crowned in addition to all sorts of focus on the best British films of last year, with I Swear, Pillion and My Father's Shadow among the great movies being spotlighted.

We're following along live with the ceremony, so keep checking back as we update the winners list throughout the evening. And bear in mind that the BBC is broadcasting the ceremony on a delay, so don't check here if you want the winners to be a surprise as you watch!
