Stephen Fry confirmed to be cast as Lady Bracknell in The Importance of Being Earnest – when you can see him
The West-End transfer of the National Theatre will move to the Noel Coward Theatre at the end of 2025.
Further cast members have just been announced for the West End transfer of The Importance of Being Earnest, which will arrive at the Noel Coward Theatre in December 2025.
This production was first shown at the National Theatre, where the lead role of Jack was performed by Doctor Who alum Ncuti Gatwa.
Now the production is heading across the river, with Olly Alexander taking the helm of this transfer.

Who is starring in The Importance of Being Earnest?
As mentioned, Stephen Fry will be playing the role of Lady Bracknell. But the rest of the cast is equally as star-studded.
Olly Alexander, frontman of the band Years and Years and star of Channel 4's It's a Sin, will be playing the lead role of
Hugh Dennis will also be joining the cast, taking on the role of Reverend Canon Chasuble. Dennis is well-known for his roles in Outnumbered and Not Going Out, as well as his comedy.
Other cast members include Nathan Stewart-Jarrett, Shobna Gulati, Kitty Hawthorne, Jessica Whitehurst and Hayley Carmichael.
