Nick Grimshaw, Tom Hiddleston and Benedict Cumberbatch named the best dressed men

DJ and TV presenter beats two of the UK’s hottest acting talents - and Prince Philip - to be crowned GQ’s sartorial success of 2013

Despite stiff competition from the 26th placed Duke of Edinburgh, Radio 1 Breakfast Show host Nick Grimshaw has been named the best-dressed man in Britain.

The 29-year-old DJ and TV presenter topped GQ magazine’s annual best-dressed man list which included some of the biggest names in television, film, fashion, sport and celebrity.

In second spot was Tom Hiddleston, with Sherlock’s Benedict Cumberbatch coming in a respectable third.

Other celebrities to make it into the top ten of the list – compiled by fashion writers at GQ alongside an expert panel- included Luther and Mandela star Idris Elba, former Downton heartthrob (and former best-dressed winner) Dan Stevens, and X Factor host Dermot O’Leary.

At the other end of the scale, fashion designer  Ozwald Boateng, politician George Galloway, TV scientist Brian Cox and controversial former Co-Op Bank chairman Reverend Paul Flowers, were shamed as some of the worst-dressed men in the public eye.
