Prime Video's hit superhero animation Invincible only recently returned with its fourth season, but it hasn't taken long for attention to turn to the upcoming fifth entry. The good news is: it's happening!

The streaming platform handed Invincible an advance renewal before a single episode of season 4 had launched, showing enormous confidence in the project, with all voice roles being recorded in full last summer.

That savvy planning allowed the show's animators to start working their magic nice and early, with an eye to keeping the wait between seasons to an absolute minimum.

In short, there's reason to be optimistic that Invincible season 5 will bring the series back to the late winter/early spring release window it has carved out in recent years – here's everything we know so far.

Invincible season 5 is confirmed to be on its way to Prime Video, although the streaming platform is yet to announce exactly when it will be released.

The animated series was renewed in summer 2025, but the decision would probably have been made some time earlier, given that the new episodes had been fully recorded by the time of the announcement.

The news took the form of a star-studded behind the scenes video, which saw the likes of Steven Yeun, Walton Goggins and Gillian Jacobs enjoying another unpredictable read through.

As for when the episodes will be released, Invincible has overcome its early delays to establish a pretty consistent annual schedule, which suggests that season 5 is probably going to be streaming from February or March 2027.

That's just speculation for now, though – we'll update this page when concrete details emerge.
