Fans have spent the weeks since the finale asking the same thing: if School Spirits has been renewed for season 4.

Now, there’s finally a clear answer. Paramount+ has officially confirmed School Spirits season 4, putting an end to the uncertainty that followed the end of the show’s latest run.

The streamer announced the renewal on 24 March, after season 3 wrapped on 4 March, meaning the supernatural drama’s future has been locked in less than a month after its most recent finale.

That news will come as a major relief to viewers, because season 4 of School Spirits always felt likely after the way the latest episodes left things hanging.

Paramount’s official announcement said the series had closed its third season on a high with critical acclaim, and also noted that the latest run carried a perfect 100% Tomatometer score on Rotten Tomatoes.

While Paramount+ hasn’t revealed a season 4 release date yet, the renewal suggests there is still plenty more story to tell after that dramatic season 3 ending.

Paramount Plus's own post-finale breakdown made clear there are still major loose ends surrounding Maddie, Split River High, and the fallout from the final episode, so a return always seemed more like a necessity than a bonus.

The next instalment also looks set to keep the same creative core intact. Paramount confirmed that creators Nate and Megan Trinrud will continue as co-showrunners and executive producers, while Oliver Goldstick remains involved as a consultant. Star Peyton List is also continuing as an executive producer alongside leading the cast on-screen.
