Will there be an Oshi No Ko season 4?
What a fourth season could involve now that the third is at the endpoint.

With Oshi No Ko season 3 wrapping up as of 25 March, with its one-hour special for episode 35, whether there will be a season 4 is surely the next major question on many fans’ minds.
Based on the manga by Aka Akasaka and Mengo Yokoyari, the anime has become a major modern anime hit – there’s one major difference between this and other series like Frieren, Oshi No Ko’s source material has already finished, with the manga ending in November 2024.
With that, it’s easy to wonder naturally, fans are already wondering what comes next for Aqua, Ruby, and the rest of the cast, as we know there are more adventures to be had.
Has an Oshi No Ko season 4 been confirmed?
At the time of writing, Oshi No Ko has not officially been renewed for season 4.
The anime’s official website is currently centred on season 3 news, including its finale, with no fourth season announcement listed just yet.
That said, a renewal certainly wouldn’t be a surprise. Season 3 was officially announced in October 2024, and with the manga already complete, the anime team now has a full story to work from. That doesn’t confirm season 4, of course — but it does make the chances feel strong.
When could a potential Oshi No Ko season 4 be released?

If Oshi No Ko is renewed for season 4, we wouldn’t expect it to arrive especially quickly.
The first season aired from April to June 2023, the second aired from July to October 2024, and the third began in January 2026.
Based on that pattern, 2027 feels like the absolute earliest a fourth season of Oshi No Ko could arrive — and even that is only speculation for now. A 2028 release wouldn’t be out of the question either, depending on the scale of the adaptation and production schedule.
For now, though, that remains educated guesswork until an official announcement is made.
What could a potential Oshi No Ko season 4 be about?
As for what the potential season could cover, based on where season 3 seems to be ending, season 4 would likely focus on the rest of The 15-Year Lie storyline, with the film about Ai’s life becoming the emotional centre of the story.
That would mean more fallout from Ruby being pulled closer to Ai’s role, more tension around Aqua’s revenge plan, and even more pressure on Kana, Akane, and the rest of the cast as the project forces them to confront painful truths from the past.
The Movie arc itself is centred on the production of that film, including its casting and filming process, so there’s clearly still a great deal of material left for the anime to adapt.

What’s more, there’s an even bigger reason season 4 could be especially dramatic: the Movie arc is followed by two later manga arcs, The End of the Play and Toward the Stars and Dreams, with the latter serving as the manga’s final arc.
In other words, if Oshi No Ko does return, season 4 could well be the season that pushes the anime fully into its endgame, dealing with the fallout of the film and moving the story much closer to its ultimate conclusion. Since the manga itself finished in November 2024, so the full roadmap is already there.
Oshi No Ko seasons 1-2 are available to stream on Crunchyroll.
